This classic dish is perfect for collectors or anyone looking for a splash of color to add to their decor.
Marigold Carnival Glass first came on the market in the early 1900s. The coloring comes from iron chloride in spray applied to the molten glass, creating a shimmering iridescence. It quickly became the most popular, and then the most reproduced color of Carnival Glass.

Indiana Glass Company
Founded in 1907 in Dunkirk, Indiana when a group of investors, led by Frank Merry, bought the defunct Dunkirk Glass Plant.
The company made lamps, glassware, vases, and other miscellaneous products, though they are most well-known for Depression Glass, and Goofus Glass, and their method of Carnival Glass using pressed crystal glass.
At the turn of the century, the development of molded glass production methods rapidly expanded and the demand for low-cost stemware, barware, and decorative glassware bolstered Indianna Glass Co.’s business for decades to come.
The company continued to produce popular glassware until 2002. However, the most collectable and sought after pieces continue to be their Depression and Carnival glass pieces created from the 1920s-30s and the 70s, respectively.
With so many colors and patterns, there are candy dishes, pitchers, and snack trays to fit any style. Searching for particular pieces is a favorite hobby for many collectors, young and old.
