Originally made from cast iron, the Kitchen Supply company joined the lamb cake craze with a lighter-weight aluminum version in the 1950s.
The exact history of the lamb cake is difficult to pin down, but the kitschy tradition goes back over 100 years to several European countries. Many of our grandparents passed the tradition on, claiming it as a nostalgic piece of their own childhoods. No matter the origin, the lamb cake has a sweet spot in our hearts for its sentimentality and fuzzy memories! We’ll keep passing it on to the next generations.
